Gryaab is expanding the Rya WWTP to better treat the wastewater from phosphorus and nitrogen. Before we started to rebuild the plant several studies were made on the effects in the ocean.
One of the reports is presented below. |
"Probable effects on the production of macrovegetation and
phytoplankton of a possible reduced phosphorous discharge
from the Rya WWTP"
The purpose of this study was to analyse whether a reduction of the
phosphorous discharge from 0.4 mg/l to 0.3 mg/l from the Rya WWTP at the Göta Älv mouth will have an effect on the production of macro- and microalgae in the recipient zone.
